Hi, I'm a USMC wife who's husband was just accepted to do a latmove into EOD. We have orders for schooling in Florida for this spring. I was wondering about the duty station options for USMC EOD. Any advice on where I can find this info?

As for Station information here are pretty much your options. You have East Coast, West Coast, Yuma AZ, Okinawa Japan, Mainland Japan. When he gets to school, and gets to his last couple months of training they will announce where the guys are able to go. From there all the Eod Students meet up and try to hash out where everyone needs to go.. Odds are you guys will get what you want..

Thanks so much for the information. I keep hearing that after schooling is complete most people get where they want because they work it out amongst themselves. Is Hawaii an option as a station?

Oh yeah, completely forgot about that one.. So where would you like to go? Where are you guys coming from? Hawaii would be an awesome place to get stationed who knows maybe I will go there next.

Great, I was worried for a moment. Right now we're in Okinawa Japan. It's nice but we're ready for a change. Haven't quite decided where we want to go next but I think Hawaii is up there!

Okinawa, Japan.. Yeah your right it can get really old really fast. Well good luck with your adventures, curious when does your husband take off for school in Florida? Have you guys found a place in FL yet where you will be living? I would stay in the Niceville, Flapraiso area. The 2 areas are nice and really close to the school house. Alot of people "single guys" but some couples have moved over into Destin because really that is the place to live but those early morning and late night 25 min drives plus tolls are a pain in the behind everyday...
